    • The BVUA holds regular training classes and meetings for both returning AND
    new umpires.

    Classes started Monday, January 16, 2012 for new umpires and afterwards will be
    held on the dates listed at Niwot United Methodist Church, 7405 Lookout Road,
    Longmont, CO. 80503, Enter from the East end of the church and proceed
    to the basement. Sessions start promptly at 7:00 p.m.

    New officials are welcome and must attend the classes in order to be assigned
    to high school baseball in Colorado.

    Training is provided in National Federation High School baseball rules, field
    mechanics as taught by the PBUC (Professional Baseball Umpire Corps) and
    CCA (Collegiate Commissioner Association), as well as a weekend practical field
    clinic.

    Veteran officials are always welcome to attend these sessions.

    Please arrive early so class can start on time. Classes generally last 1.5 to 2 hours.
